SKU: e6b2fab093ab Category:

Supplement your 7th grade math lesson with these compound probability notes. These graphic organizers compare probabilities of independent and dependent events and mutually exclusive (disjoint) and overlapping events.

These graphic organizers are perfect for creating reference sheets that your students can use throughout the year! When completed, they are easy to read and keep the students’ notes organized.

This resource has two sets of graphic organizers. The first set is open-ended so that students can create their own problems and review special solutions on their own. The second set is a filled in version with example problems

Each set of this graphic organizer includes two versions:

Version 1– Students will find probabilities of independent and dependent events.

Version 2 – Students will find probabilities of mutually exclusive and overlapping events.

More ways to use these compound probability graphic organizers:

✨ Guided notes – Use a graphic organizer as part of your guided notes to help your students keep important information all in one place. This is a great way to help your students create reference pages to use throughout the unit.

✨ Review or reinforcement – Your students probably don’t retain all of the information that is thrown at them during an introductory lesson. Use this graphic organizer to do a quick review of the initial lesson.

✨ Small groups – Give your students the blank version of the graphic organizer and have them come up with example problems on their own. They can then share with their group or all the groups can share what they came up with to the rest of the class.

✨ Test prep – Have your students complete this graphic organizer themselves to study for an upcoming test. BONUS: let them use this during the quiz/test as an incentive to study.
