There is no perfect note taking method in math, but there are a lot of great options! Note taking is a HUGE part of math class at the high school level and is an essential skill for any student looking to continue education after high school. Notes help us stay organized and write down our thoughts (in addition to learning new skills and techniques).
I wanted to keep this blog post short and sweet just to give you some ideas (with the pros and cons) for changing up your note taking style in your math classroom.

Pros:
- Low prep

- Teaches organizational skills (if done correctly)
Cons:
- Students get lost and fall behind
- Word problems are a hassle

Pros:
- Easy for students to follow along
- Questions are already written down for the students
- Can be created to differentiate or scaffold material
Cons:
- Moderate prep time for teachers
- Papers are easily lost if not organized
